Looking to get involved? Curious what it takes to be part of a commission, committee or board? Join Boise Young Professionals’ b|On Board program. This three-week training series is designed to inform Boise professionals about how to engage with organizations around the community.
What You’ll Learn:
What to Expect:
Week 1 – April 4
Learn what interests you, what excites and scares you, your passions and how those translate to civic engagement. Then, explore different kinds of board service with a panel discussion featuring corporate, government and nonprofit board members from Idaho organizations.
Week 2 – April 11
Start collecting and polishing your skills during the second night of rapid-fire, round robin style trainings. Six different local experts will be teaching 15-minute breakout sessions on different skills needed for volunteer, committee and board service.
Week 3 – April 18
The final evening of the b|On Board series is all about applying new skills. Training will wrap up with a reception and networking fair. Participants will connect with area organizations seeking volunteers, committee members and board members.

A light dinner will be provided each evening at 5:30 p.m. The closing evening will consist of a reception and networking event.
