BYP offers a fun, purely social event with no agenda other than meeting other YPs.  These events offer drink specials and free appetizers to BYP members and take place at a different location around the Boise downtown core every other month.  Each b|connected will take place on the second Thursday or Friday of the month from 5 or 5:30 – 7 or 7:30 p.m.  These events are free to BYP members and guests.  BYP members receive a wristband, which allows them to receive drink specials and appetizers.

Boise Streetcar: Next Steps

The City of Boise recently received notice from the U.S. Dept. of Transportation that it did not receive funding for its grant application under the TIGER stimulus program for the first phase of the proposed streetcar system.  What happens now? Come join us to hear some of the next steps for the streetcar system and what it means for Boise’s future.

Presentation Description: Communities in Motion is the regional long-range transportation plan for Ada and Canyon Counties. This plan is required by the federal government and must be updated every four years; the next update is due later this year. Join us as we look at this plan, discuss your transportation priorities, and delve into key elements of the 2010 update.

BYP offers a quarterly series to educate, connect and welcome new members. Each event welcomes new BYP members and provides time for networking, information about upcoming events, and an overview of the benefits of membership. This event is  offered at no cost to BYP members. Nonmember guests are allowed entrance to one BYP 101 event per year.

January 9 – The Capitol Rededication Celebration – Volunteer Opportunity

On January 9th our State’s beautifully restored Capitol will be rededicated!  BYP is looking for people interested in volunteering to be a part of this once in a lifetime event.  Tasks include door monitors; program distribution; coat checks; set up and clean up.  The shift we will be on Saturday, January 9th from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m..  Volunteers will be given an orientation before the shift, so please arrive early.  Dress Code: No denim; slacks and a collared shirt or sweater.
