connect. empower. engage.

The goal of BYP is to “connect, empower and engage” young professionals (YPs) by providing opportunities for business & social networking, professional & leadership development, and community engagement.

Areas of FocusOn October 24, 2006 the Boise Metro Chamber launched a new program called Boise Young Professionals (BYP) to target the young, talented, future workforce of Boise and the surrounding area. BYP was created to be an inclusive group designed to develop and retain talent in the region.

So who are these “young professionals (YPs)”? BYP is mainly comprised of the 21-40 year old population, but is open to any “young thinking” or “young-at-heart” professional. BYP is a collection of entrepreneurs, nonprofit workers, bankers, attorneys, engineers, artists, and just about any profession in the surrounding Boise community. BYP has grown to an organization of over 1,000+ members that represent more than 300 different companies.
